The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme is a favourite of both male and female applicants. It is a 2-year programme that is ideal for students who have a passion for education. Graduation is the prerequisite for a B.Ed. Candidates who have completed post-graduate work may also apply.
B.Ed Course Duration & Eligibility

- Candidates must have successfully completed or taken a qualifying exam.
A minimum of 50% overall in any Bachelor’s degree, such as a B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A. (Oriental Languages), BBA, Master’s degree, or B.E/B.Tech, or an equivalent qualification.
There is no national level entrance exam for admission to the B.Ed. programme. Various states, institutions, and colleges need candidates to show up for admission exams.
Future after Completing B.Ed
Candidates who have completed their B.Ed. can find employment with the government as well as a private school with a competitive wage. The candidate may also be hired as a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) or PGT teacher at Secondary or Higher Secondary Schools.
Candidates can take competitive tests like the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SETs, as well as the Common Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), to increase their chances of being hired as teachers.
